Bongani joined Gomora as a Shisanyama manager, who later fell in love with Zodwa (Sannah Mchunu).
The Bongani character brought the much-loved comedy lacking in Gomora, and there was no better partner than Zodwa.
It’s fair to say their partnership gave both of them their waited seat among Mzansi’s best actors.
Zodwa went on to win the 2022 DSTV Viewers Choice Favourite Actress, and we can’t talk about her performances without mentioning Bongani.
