The veteran actor was born to Thando and Nombuyiselo Xaluva, mother and father, respectively. He is the third child out of four children.

Zolisa Xaluva’s education and academic qualifications

The veteran actor completed his Matric in Pretoria with flying grades.

He furthered his education and studied Media Studies and Communication Science at Technikon Witwatersrand, a course he did not finish due o financial constraints.

Zolisa tried many means to raise school fees before leaving campus but was denied by the school authorities.

He returned to Port Elizabeth, where he joined an arts and culture group which toured schools, performing plays for schoolchildren. He later returned to Pretoria and studied drama at Technikon Pretoria, graduating in 2003.

Zolisa Xaluva’s legendary career

The veteran actor went through the theatres where he was natured into a professional actor. He later found his breakthrough when he joined SABC 1’s drama series Tsha Tsha as Lwazi Mboweni.

This role opened even more doors as he signed a dream contract with the country’s best and most-watched drama series of that time, Generations, in 2005, playing the role of Jason Malinga.

Whilst with Generations, he landed minor roles on Rhythm City HHP’s Manager and SABC 1’s miniseries Gugu no Andile and SABC 1′ drama series Tshisa season 2.

After Generations, he joined Gomora playing the role of Gomora High Principal and husband to Gladys (Thembi Seete) before he left the show to focus on a mutual agreement to focus on his businesses in 2022.
