After quitting her job as a service assistant in the Tourism industry, Dawn made her debut appearance in 2012 on INkaba, A Mzansi Magic drama series.
She starred as a housemaid, Anele, and her flirtatious character made her even more popular.

A few years later, she signed for Mzansi’s most viewed drama series of the time (2015-2021), Uzalo as Lindiwe Xulu, a role that made her one of the best actresses in the country.
