Tinashe Mutarisi is a celebrated Zimbabwean entrepreneur with several business franchises under Nash Holdings. Mutarisi has been winning big over the years and has received international recognition.

Tinashe Mutarisi is the founder and Chairman of Nash Paints, one of Zimbabwe’s top paint manufacturers a subsidiary of NASH Holdings.

Nash Holdings subsidiaries, Nash Paints and Nash Furniture have since gone regional. No doubt he is poised for greatness. Mutarisi also made it on Ngoda Business’ Most Influential Entrepreneurs in Zimbabwe Under-40.

In the backdrop of his newfound fame, he has since spread his wings to the entertainment industry with a state-of-the-art studio – best known as Nash TV Studios.

However, despite being one of the most followed Zimbabwean business moguls, Tinashe Mutarisi has managed to keep his private life under wraps, leaving many to guess.

After he has a rags-to-riches story, dubbed the next Zimbabwean Billionaire – Tinashe Mutarisi was born at Mount St Marys’ in Wedza, Zimbabwe.

However, he later grew up at mine. Unconfirmed reports have it that he grew up in a polygamous family, and his father had three wives and 27 children.

EDUCATION

After losing his parents while still young, his siblings became his guardians, which saw them footing his educational bills to complete his secondary education.

He had his primary education at Inyati Mine Primary School before completing his secondary school at Mavhudzi Secondary School.

BUSINESS EMPIRE

Mutarisi founded Nash Paints in 2006 at Chikwanha Shopping Centre in Chitungwiza. Despite starting with three employees, the company has since become the biggest paint-manufacturing company in Zimbabwe.

The company now boasts more than 30 branches across Zimbabwe with more than 500 employees. Against the backdrop of Nash Paints’ Mutarisi founded NASH Holdings.

NASH Holdings houses several companies, including Nash Paints, Eastlea Paints, Nashrin Cargo Carriers, Avion, Spec Paints, Fishmongers Penman, Furnitures’ Coloursel, Nash Furnitures, and Project56 Construction.

The company has since spread its operations in Zambia, South Africa and Botswana; apart from that, he holds an MBA from Marjon University (UK).
