Gerald Takwara is the key Zimbabwe Warriors defender who plays as a defensive midfield for a Saudi Arabian club Ohod.
Takwara also known as Geriro was born on 29 October 1994 and the genesis of his career started at Tsholotsho Pirates.
At Tsholotsho Pirates he quickly got recognised by FC Platinum for his defensive and passing abilities that were lacking.
He then joined Zvishavane based club the platinum boys “FC Platinum”. At FCP he played as a defensive midfielder.

At FCP he helped the team win their first silverware and a few years later he crossed Limpopo and joined Ajax.
His life across Limpopo was not rosy, so he moved back to Zimbabwe but this time around joining FCP rivals.
When he joined Ngezi Platinum, it did not go well with FC Platinum fans as they him a traitor.
He did not win any title with Ngezi Platinum but he played very well there which earned him another life in South Africa with Venda FC.

He Joined Venda FC and was playing for a lower league in South Africa. Because of his hard work with the team and being patient.
He quickly made a million-dollar move to the oil-rich nation Saudi Arabia joining Ohod FC which plays in the Saudi Arabia League.
Now he is rubbing his shoulders with great players in the world such as Cristiano Ronald, Ngolo Kante, Neymar and others.
He started playing for Warriors in 2015 when he was part of the team that played Comoros in AFCON Qualifiers.
