Tendai Biti’s lawyer Mr Alec Muchadehama has accused Augur Investments of committing fraud during the construction of the Airport road. Mr Muchadehama brought out found out these allegations in a cross-examining session with complainant Mrs Tatiana Aleshina.

Some days ago, The former Finance minister Tendai Biti had verbally assaulted Mrs Aleshina at the Harare Magistrate Court, and he is now facing those charges.

After attempts to hear from Mrs Aleshina, she shot down all questions about the Augur Investments. She said that she is not empowered to comment on the case.

Mr Muchadehama clarified to Mrs Aleshina that Augur Investments and its associates are acting or have acted under instruction. Once again, she refused to give any comments.

Mr Muchadehama once again pressed Mrs Aleshina, saying that Augur was nothing more than a bogus company she created for shady deals, but she still refused to comment.

He also said the company failed to construct the Harare Airport road despite being paid. Still, Mrs Aleshina refused to fall to Mr Muchadehama’s pressure: she declined to comment.
