Cassper Nyovest has taken a hiatus from his social media game after his rap nemesis, AKA, met his untimely demise in a brutal incident. The two were once friends, but their beef escalated to a point where they publicly aired their dirty laundry on social media and in person.

Before the beef heated, Cassper had praised AKA as his inspiration, but things turned nasty, leading to their fallout.

Despite their differences, Cassper was greatly affected by the unexpected passing of AKA and his companion, Tibz. In a statement released earlier this week, he expressed his heartfelt condolences to their loved ones. One can only hope that their feud has ended and they’ve made peace in rap heaven.

Cassper Nyovest is not attending AKA’s funeral

“My sincere condolences go out to Kiernan and Tebello’s families, colleagues and fans. May their souls rest in peace and their legacies be celebrated. May the Good lord be with all of you at this sad time.”

He then asked his fans to send love to AKA’s fans.

“To all my fans, please send all your love to the Megacy and family. The nation is mourning & could use more love and less evil.”

When asked by fans if he would attend the funeral and memorial services, he responded that he would if he were in the country. However, he is currently out of the country for work and therefore regrets that he will be unable to attend either service.

“Unfortunately, I’ll be out of the country for work but if I were around, I would’ve gone. I would’ve gone to the funeral, too,” he said.

Although he acknowledged their disagreement, he also noted that they had shared good times. Additionally, he emphasized that his contributions to the Hip Hop industry would not be overlooked.

“No matter how you look at it, Kiernan and I shared many great moments and he contributed to my industry so I have to pay my respects.”
