Gomora’s veteran actress Connie Chiume ‘MamSonto’ won another award at the Joburg Film Festival awards and some other top artists in the country who are also winners. It’s been five years with the Joburg Film Festival in the business. Over the years, they have attracted so much worldwide attention thanks to their professionalism and credibility. The 2023 awards event is arguably on top as the best so far. The budget for this event to be a success tells it all.
Top artists in the Film business across the globe all gathered in Joburg for the event. Among them was most of South Africa’s top talent in acting including the veteran Connie Chiume and upcoming star Siphesihle Ndaba ‘Mazet’. Connie Chiume won several awards in the past year, and it seemed the same story going into 2023. This time she won the Anansi award. This is her latest award adding three-lifetime achievements from different awards to a cabinet. Speaking of her Anansi awards, Connie said
