Ambuya Stella Chiweshe’s burial demands left the whole country after a rare and uncommon burial took place. The legendary traditional musician Ambuya Stella Chiweshe lost her life on the 20th of January 2023. The whole country received the news with so much sadness and many fans had been waiting to watch her burial on the television and social platforms like what always happen when a top celebrity dies.

Before her death, the veteran musician had layed out how she wants to be buried. She demanded that no media personalities or non family members would be able to cover her funeral proceedings, with the exceptions of a few selected friends.

She also added that she will not be buried in a Casket such that nothing will delay her association with her ancestors. Adding on her list of demands, no gospel music was to be played on her funeral, only traditional music alone. In short, her funeral was totally a traditional funeral without anything western or christian.
